官方也公布規則，每位選手可以在錦標賽期間挑選NBA現有八支隊伍，但每支隊伍只能使用一次，以現有賽程表來看，這將是一場四輪賽事，因此如何在每輪審慎考量並使用不同隊伍的特長來迎戰，也是非常重要的戰略一環。
