Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at the White House at around 10:05 a.m. local time on the 24th, where he met with U.S. President Donald Trump. After delivering their opening remarks, the two leaders watched a military honor guard and ceremonial parade together in the White House Rose Garden.

Although such a parade is a customary part of the White House’s ceremonial welcome for visiting heads of state, it has traditionally been held on the South Lawn. Holding the parade in the Rose Garden is highly unusual. Commenting on the elaborate welcome, the BBC said Trump had “gone to great lengths” to welcome Xi Jinping.(此翻譯來源：ChatGPT)
