The Kuomintang’s “Bald, Man, and Swallow” trio came together for the first time in 2026 to support the election campaign. Yesterday, they attended the inaugural event for the campaign headquarters of Vice President of the Legislative Yuan and Taichung mayoral candidate Chiang Chi-chen. Unexpectedly, the “trio's unity” turned into a “hand-holding fail”! At the end of Han Kuo-yu's speech, just as he was about to hold hands and lead the crowd in chanting "Chiang Chi-chen frozen garlic," Lu Shiow-yen turned to drink water, missing Han Kuo-yu's extended hand and ending up being pushed to the second row. The scene amused netizens, with some joking that “Mother Lu was publicly sidelined by Han Kuo-yu,” while Deputy Mayor Cheng Chao-hsin, who handed over the water, jokingly claimed, "It's all my fault."
