Michael Jordan發表聲明：「我想要恭喜LeBron在他的驚人籃球生涯，又達成他的一項偉大成就。」
詹皇超越Jordan的史上總得分32,292分，並以一記上籃造成對手犯規，而湖人輸了比賽後，也決定讓詹皇提早休養。
詹皇說：「我很多事情都已經達成，但是這個會是最高目標，以及贏下總冠軍。」
詹皇甚至在比賽中刻意穿上類似Michael Jordan的球鞋，來為他最喜愛的球員致敬。
